Vietnam visa update for Australians in January 2016

By: hanhpham

Hi there.

Is there any update for Vietnam visa for Australians in January 2016. We are planning a trip there for around 20 days. Please advise.

Dear Jonasthan,

First of all, thank you so much for leaving us your message.

Up to now, please be kindly informed that there is no change for Vietnam visa for Australians in January 2016. You are still exempted from Vietnam visa for 30 days if:

  1. You directly travel to Phu Quoc island of Vietnam from a foreign country/territory;
  2. Your stay in the island is no more than 30 days; and
  3. You then leave the island for a foreign country/territory.

Otherwise, you will need a valid visa which, in this case, can be obtained in either of the two following ways:

  1. Obtaining a visa on arrival (highly recommended if your enter Vietnam by air); or
  2. Obtaining a visa via the Vietnam embassy in Australia or in any third party convenient for you.

In case there is any change regarding visa for you then, we ensure to notify you via email.

Should you need any further information, please feel free to let us know.

Kind regards,
