Visa on arrival is a legitimate option for obtaining a visa to Vietnam. Since its appearance, the visa on arrival has become a popular choice among many foreign travelers to Vietnam. Its processing time is only about 1 or 2 working days. But please keep in mind that:

  2. Not all foreign travelers who need a visa to Vietnam are supported with visa on arrival. So, you should check in advance to make sure whether your nationality is supported with visa on arrival or not.

After making sure that you can apply for a visa on arrival, you are advised to submit your visa application form at least 7 days in advance so that you can avoid unexpected problems that may occur with your application such as wrong information, submission date on non-working days of the Vietnam Immigration Department which directly issues your visa approval letter or avoid cost for urgent visa.

Upon filling out your online application, please check to make sure all information you provide is accurate since the travel agent who deals with your visa application will not refund the service fee to you if you provide them with false information. In case you find any wrong information after submitting your form, inform the travel agent immediately to avoid any unexpected cost.

Finally, please remember that the visa on arrival is applicable for those who travel to Vietnam by air only. So, if you DON’T enter Vietnam by air, DON’T apply for a visa on arrival since the travel agent will not refund the service fee to you in this case.
