On February 21, the India Embassy and Vietnamese Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism announced that a “Festival of India” will be held in Vietnam from March 5-15 with the aim to introduce the rich and vibrant Indian culture.
Cities of Vietnam to hold this event are Hanoi, Danang and Ho Chi Minh City. The festival will cover a wide range of activities including classical dance recitals, a Buddhist festival with the participation of Indian monks, and a celebration of Indian food.
Ms. Preeti Saran, the Indian Ambassador expressed her hope that through the festival, Vietnamese people will understand more about Indian customs and traditional culture.
She said the event will help foster the two countries’ friendship and cooperation.
