In an interview on the CNTraveler, the famous author, MC cum chef named Anthony Bourdain has confirmed that “My first trip to Vietnam changed my life”.

In the interview, when being asked about which destination had made the biggest impression on him, he said that: “I’m crazy for Southeast Asia”. I love Vietnam, Malaysia and Indonesia for the flavors, landscape and the people. Going to Vietnam the first time was life-changing for sure; maybe because it was all so new and different to my life before and the world I grew up in. The food, culture, landscape and smell; they’re all inseparable. It just seemed like another planet; a delicious one that sort of sucked me in and never let go.”

While talking about the favorite restaurant on his road, once again, he confirmed his love for Vietnam. He said he was actually happiest eating street food in Vietnam. He liked Pho from Vietnam very much.

This is not the first time Anthony Bourdain spending his special words for the people and landscape of the S-shaped country. Previously, in 2005, he also published an article named “Hungry for more of Vietnam” on the Financial Times based in UK. In the article, he said: “I love Vietnam. I love it now. I loved it from the minute I arrived for the first time, a few years ago. A year from now, I plan to live here. I will move to a small fishing village in a coastal area of Vietnam near Hoi An. I have no idea what I’m going to do there, other than write”.
