Extended Vietnam visa exemption for 5 European nationalities in Australia

Bởi: carol

Visa-Vietnam.com.au takes a great honor to announce that the Vietnamese Government has officially approved extension of the current policy on exemption of Vietnam visa for 5 European nationalities  (Italian, Spanish, German, French and UK) regardless where they are, in their home country, in Australia or in any other country around the world, provided that:

  1. Their stay in Vietnam is no more than 15 days,
  2. Their passport is valid for at least 6 months since their arrival date in Vietnam; and
  3. Their arrival date does not fall within 30 days since exit date of their last stay in Vietnam with visa exemption.

If all the conditions mentioned above are met, they only need to bring their passport to show to the immigration officer at border gate. And also, they are recommended to travel with proof of the exit ticket within the period of 15 days to show that they will stay in the country for such period of time.

No Vietnam visa for 5 European countries until June 2018
No Vietnam visa for 5 European countries until June 2018

When those citizens are not eligible for this policy?

As mentioned above, this exemption is conditional. Accordingly, citizens of those countries who do not meet the above conditions shall need obtain a valid visa to Vietnam.

Who are they? They are those:

  • whose stay in Vietnam is no more than 15 days but their arrival date falls within 30 days since exit date of their last stay in Vietnam with visa exemption
  • whose stay in Vietnam is more than 15 days.

How those citizens can get a Vietnam visa:

There are two assumption as follows:

1. If they wish to stay for no more than 30 days:

  1. They can obtain a Vietnam e-visa, which is just for tourists with single entry;
  2. They can obtain a Vietnam visa on arrival, which is just for those traveling to Vietnam by air; OR
  3. They can obtain a Vietnam visa at Vietnam embassy, which is maybe just convenient for those very close to Vietnam Embassy.

2. If they wish to stay for more than 30 days:

  1. They can obtain a Vietnam visa on arrival, which is just for those traveling to Vietnam by air;
  2. They must obtain Vietnam visa at Vietnam embassy if they do not travel to Vietnam by air.
